A natural leader, Darren Volkes co-founded Holbrook, New York’s Guaranteed Returns (GRx) in 1986 as director of operations. Today, he continues to oversee activities in the role of executive vice president. As a co-founder of GRx, he helped increase early annual revenue figures from approximately $1 million to as high as $50 million. A veritable pioneer of the pharmaceutical reverse distribution industry, Darren Volkes played a key role in developing the processes for recovering credits and working capital for retail pharmacies outdated, damaged, or otherwise under-performing inventory. He also developed related processes involving the proper disposal of obsolete medications and providing participating pharmacies with return credits.

A finance graduate of Dowling College in Oakdale, Mr. Volkes has established professional relationships with a number of organizations over the course of his career in pharmaceuticals. A few of these organizations include the Pharmacy Trade Organization’s Healthcare Distribution Management Association, the Healthcare Distribution Alliance, and the Return Goods Task Force.
